we are over the moon with the news from our German buggy team we have just received. They held their last races for the German championship the last weekend on the island of Borkum / North Germany. Also our Team riders David van Boven and Robert Smits from Belgium & Netherlands joined the races and swept the podium using the latest protos of our soon coming high performance race kite the “Quantum”.
Conditions were very tricky down to the light winds and very wet beach and big dunes. Anyway in the first of the two Master class races David and Malte become 1st and 2nd both using the 13.5m Quantum Proto. In the next race Malte was unlucky with a line snap but David performed again and came in 3rd leaving him as the overall winner of the weekends races.
That also meant for Malte that he is German Champion one more time for 2013 using the Quantum protos in every race within the last season. Dominik entered the races in the open class and also became first in both races using the 11.2 and 9.5m Quantum. Well done guys and congratulations from everyone here at Ozone.
We are working full speed to get the Quantum into the market and it won’t be long for its public release. We just need to get a few things sorted before getting it in full production. We will keep you updated on our website and on Facebook with news…
All the best from the Team at Ozone
during the last days i met Patrick & Ronny from kitetracker.com. they gave me the opportunity to test the brand new version of their ios app for tracking your sessions, even lifetracking is possible!
for those of you who ever wanted to see where you have been while kiting or doing any kind of outdoor sports, i fairly recommend this app! track your session and share it with pictures and comments!
i’m back from some weeks of skiing & snowkiting right now, we had bad slope days as well as great powder days with snowkiting. some first pics are availible right now:
as you might have heard max is in the team since some days. he already had his first races with ozone and is really stoked about our kites. luckily we could spend some more days after the races on the beach just to have fun:
last sunday we had the 2nd race for 2013′s german kitebuggy season. with strong and gusty winds around 25 knots it was a perfect day to show what we are working on: a super stable and super fast race kite! in the first race my start around place number 10 wasn’t that good, but never the less i managed to climb from place to place until i was in the lead! from now on i used the brand new 4m proto in all races where it dominated all the time. being super stable and incredible fast in all maneuvers this really smooth shaped kite helped me to win all 4 out of 4 races!
thanks to rob for this great shape and thanks to hossi for the pictures!
just one day before the kitelandboarding event up here in st. peter ording we had a great day riding in strong winds on the water, here is a first snapshot from what we did for the camera:
thanks to joey for the pic!
yesterdays forecast for st. peter ording was just perfect with winds around 30knt and not that much rain. eike, christian, arne and myself used the first day of our weekend to capture some footage, watch for yourself:
Yesterday I had quite a good session in SPO with offshore winds around 30knts. Big thanks again to Eike who decided to join me and do some filming:
